Police officers in Ross-on-Wye are appealing for information after a trailer, along with eight nine-week-old piglets, was stolen.

The theft occurred between 6.30pm yesterday evening (Thursday, July 7th) and 8am this morning (Friday, July 8th). A tatty-looking IFOR Williams trailer, which is 8ft by 4ft, was stolen. Also on board the trailer were eight black piglets with white snouts and feet. This incident took place on a farm in Aston Crews, near Ross.

A police spokesperson for Ross-on-Wye Safer Neighbourhood Team said: "This appears to be senseless act and has caused distress to the owners, these piglets are very noticeable and we hope that they are returned without harm."

Police officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have any information relating to the theft of these animals or who may have been in the area around the time of the incident and heard or seen anything suspicious. Please contact 101 quoting 111s of 8 July 2016.
