Police in Ross-on-Wye have recently received several reports from local residents, whereby cold callers have been knocking on doors, trying to sell art.
Many of the residents reporting the incidents, told police that these cold callers were pushy and intimidating.
The police tracked down, and spoke to the group, and their details have been taken. The police officers told the cold callers that they cannot operate without a Pedlar’s licence - this is a licence for people who sell door to door, or in the street without a stall or fixed location.
If you are concerned with similar issues with door-knockers, please call 101.
