Many local residents were aware of an extensive operation involving all three emergency services in the Ross-on-Wye area last night, Wednesday, February 6th.

At 5pm the Local Policing Priority Team South and North joined Fire and Ambulance crews to conduct a search operation for a high risk missing person who was later found. After receiving emergency medical care the person was placed in the care of medical staff.

Chief Superintendent Kevin Purcell thanked everyone involved in the operation. The LPPT also commented on the ‘amazing teamwork’ between the emergency service teams involved in the search which took place in what they called ‘very challenging conditions’. They tweeted: “There is nothing better than seeing the joy of family and friends when a loved one is located following a concern for their welfare.
