A man from Weston under Penyard, who admitted sexual offences against two young girls, including repeatedly raping one of them, was jailed for 13 years as part of a sentence that will last a total of 18 years, at Worcester Crown Court on Wednesday, March 23rd.
Philip Green, 63, of Penyard Gardens, Weston under Penyard, Ross-on-Wye, was sentenced to 13 years in custody and a further five years which will be served on licence. The sentence was passed at Worcester Crown Court on March 23rd.
Green had already pleaded guilty in Worcester Crown Court to rape and other sex offences against two young girls, dating back 15 years, in February.
He pleaded guilty to four counts of rape against a child under the age of 13 and one count each of indecent assault on a female, sexual assault of a child under 13 and causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in a sexual activity. The offences were committed between 2000 and 2008.
He was sentenced to 11 years for each of the rapes which will be served concurrently, he was sentenced to four years to run concurrently for the indecent assault and the incitement offences and the remaining time Green was sentenced to in custody was for the sexual assault on a child under the age of 13.
Green was also given a sexual harm prevention order by Recorder Desmond Dennis, which will stand until further notice.
