When Judith and Colin Smith celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary with a holiday in Hawaii recently they made sure to take one important reminder of home with them – a copy of the Ross Gazette.

The couple moved to Pontshill in 2003 and have never regretted their move to Ross-on-Wye.

Their son, Antony, lives nearby with his family. Judith was a community nurse at the Alton Street practice until she retired in 2010. She now volunteers with the Age Concern team and helps with the Leg Club as a volunteer every Thursday and in the British Heart Foundation shop on Mondays.

Judith and Colin celebrated their 50th anniversary with family and friends including their Best Man and Bridesmaid. They then went on holiday to the Hawaiian Islands to meet family.
