This photograph, from March 14th, 1996, is the John Kyrle High School U13 Girls’ Hockey team, who became champions of the West of England after competing at Glastonbury. The JKHS team from Ross-on-Wye scored more goals than any other team that day, and only conceeded one goal.

The team was Rachael Davies, Laura Wilmott, Kate James, Lucy Edwards, Catherine Lane, Louise Wall, Sally Powell, Nyssa Kopec and Olivia Passey. Pictured with them is Linda Davies, head of PE at the school at the time and Mrs Horsfield, President of the West of England Women’s Hockey Association.
