Madam, I refer to your story of the road closure at Oaklands Drive ['Road closed as high winds damage tree', February 9th]. It was not only a garden fence that was damaged, but also my car – and it was lucky for my neighbours, as they normally park next to my car.

As you can see from the attached picture, any car parked next to mine would have been badly damaged. The largest branch that came down had a diameter of around four inches. It was also very lucky that no-one was walking in that area.

Everyone is in a state of nervousness as to when it will happen again.
