When eight-year-old Zoe Fletcher from Whitchurch CE Primary School took part in a school competition to design a Christmas card she did not expect her work to be chosen by the headteacher to represent the school.

She was thrilled, but the whole school was delighted when they heard that her card was selected to be used as an e-card for the Department of International Development. It will soon be winging its way around the world.

The card will be sent by Government Ministers and civil servants to their counterparts and other contacts this year.
