A Ross-on-Wye resident who is unhappy with the quantity of decorations on the Christmas tree in the Market Place has set up a Facebook group called Decorate Ross Christmas Tree.

Katie Fowler told the Ross Gazette that as there are not many lights on the tree and no other decorations, she would like people to add a bauble to the tree themselves.

She said it would be nice if people placed a decoration on the tree in memory of a loved one. She is urging everyone to add at least one decoration to the tree as this is what the residents of Monmouth did last year.

The statement on their Facebook page says: “Every year we all do it. We all moan about the Christmas lights, decorations etc. Let’s do what Monmouth did last year. Place a Christmas decoration on the Christmas tree in memory of some one dear to you. Please spread the word.”
