Age Concern Ross have sprung into Spring with a new computer café. Thanks to the big lottery funded Keep In Touch project, they have been able to show older people how to ‘Keep In Touch’ via the internet; learning to use social media, skype and email.
More and more organisations expect people to have online access, so ordering prescriptions or booking appointments will become a skill we all need to learn.
For all these reasons, and demand from older people themselves, Age Concern Ross has began running a drop-in Computer Café - this project aims to make using computers simpler for those over fifty in the local area.
Age Concern Ross can help you to learn basic skills or assist in developing more.
They can advise on which products to purchase and help with internet security. Come along and try a laptop or tablet to see which is best suited to you before you commit to buying one.
Or, if you would simply like to join a friendly group and learn over a coffee and chat then please pop along to a session, or call (01989) 567165 for more information.
