Midlands Air Ambulance Charity will be holding its much-anticipated annual Open Day on Saturday, September 10th, opening the Strensham airbase to the public, with free entry and parking.

From 10am to 4pm, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the aircrew and tour the aircraft, take part in a range of activities suited to the whole family, and enjoy entertainment from the Master Butchers’ Band.

There will also be other emergency vehicles in attendance, with refreshments available to purchase, all raising money for the charity.

The annual Open Day is an important event in the charity’s calendar, as it helps to raise vital funds and awareness of air ambulance operations across the region. £7 million is required each year to ensure the Midlands Air Ambulance can operate, which is provided wholly by the generosity of public and local businesses, and with the charity celebrating its 25th birthday there is no better time to join the fun.

Michelle McCracken , fundraising manager for the charity in Worcestershire, says: “Our Open Days are a great way for the public to meet the heroes behind the helicopters. It’s a great family fun day out which will help to save lives in the future.”
