Aldi have confirmed that they will be investigating the exit of their car park at their Ross-on-Wye store in Brookend. They will consider whether signs waring drivers to look out for pedestrians are necessary.

Several local residents have reported having near-misses with vehicles leaving the car park. They told the Ross Gazette that there is a potential issue with pedestrian safety.

Although there are white lines warning drivers to stop as they leave the car park to join the road, there is a wall between the car park and the pavement. This means that drivers are not always aware of pedestrians, and if the motorist sees that the road is clear, they pull out.

A spokesperson for Aldi said: “Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will investigate it further.”
