Alice Hurley, a talented local rider, has qualified for British Dressage National Championships.
Alice and Woodlander Frangelica have enjoyed a successful season competing in British Dressage. The pair competed at the British Dressage Regional Championships at Somerford Park in Cheshire last weekend and with their 68.69% in the Novice 37 achieved second place. This has qualified Alice and Fran for the Dressage Deluxe National Dressage Championships at Stoneleigh, Kenilworth, in September.
The previous week at Addington in Buckinghamshire the combination won the Elementary 43 with 70.34%, and with their second places in the Elementary 42 and 44 won the Reserve Champion for the Young Rider Elementary Challenge.
Alice is a second year student at Hartpury College studying Equine Science. She has been a recipient of bursaries from Ready Steady Win, and is trained by Sally Newcombe and Jeremy Michaels at the Hartpury College Equine Academy.
