Young rider, Amberly Nash, aged 12, who lives at St Owen's Cross, travelled to Aintree in Liverpool recently to compete at the Oliver Townsend Events Challenge and finished in 6th place overall in the 2 foot to 3 foot category.
Amberly, who is a student at the John Kyrle High School, said that her day was complete when she met Oliver Townsend. It was a fitting end to a great season in which Amberly has won several gold medals, a bronze, as well as chalking up lots of competitive 1sts.
Amberly and her ponies, The Paige Boy and Row Down Little Gem have already qualified for five championships next year. Amberly, who trains at Tina Pedro's Tack Farm Equestrian Centre, is hoping the success she has enjoyed this year will continue in 2010.
