The Friends of Ross Community Hospital recently presented An Evening With Quentin Letts at the Larruperz Centre in Ross-on-Wye. Mr Letts, a parliamentary sketchwriter and theatre critic, has recently had his first novel, The Speaker’s Wife, published.

The large audience were delighted to hear an outline sketch of the book which had many of them engulfed in fits of laughter.

He also spent a large part of the evening answering many varied questions from the audience regarding his time spent in parliament, and, accompanied by much hilarity, described certain ’characters’ presently in parliament.

He then proceeded to sign copies of his book, which were supplied by Rossiter Books, where copies can also be purchased.

Chairman Jill Davies said the evening had been a splendid success and enjoyed by everyone attending.
