Teas and cakes served by your team of 'Jills'
The men folk too 'Jacks of all trades'
Working from daybreak until the light fades.
Stall holders are ready as people arrive,
In the kitchen they work like bees in a hive.
The dogs are barking and tails wagging too
As they wait their turn to be told what to do.
Seeds to plant on the garden club table,
Football to shoot at goal if you feel able.
Games to play and treasure to find,
Barbeque smells good so bear that in mind.
Face painting, wishing tree, and things to make,
Later there will be tea and wedding cake.
Artistic people made bouquets and hats too,
Wedding photos displayed on a board 'Guess who',
Activities galore children to amuse,
Treasure hunt to solve with plenty of clues.
Age Concern stall, and a grand prize draw
Both of these were found in the hall.
At 4 o'clock to the front we did file,
There were a lot of us there is no denial,
But unto a photo we all did squeeze,
Then came the call 'all smile please'.
Entertainment a plenty to finish the day,
