This is, I am afraid, getting to be a far too familiar tune about me harping on about the state of the culverts in Ross, however I feel compelled to have one more rant!

Since August, I have written numerous letters to both you and the council regarding the state of the culverts in this town and in fairness to my local councilor he did get back to me on the subject.

However, nothing has still been done and so I took it on myself to get in contact with the person who is ultimately responsible for the "less than adequate", service we are receiving from our designated contractor Amey.

I therefore wrote to the person ultimately in charge of this shambles ie A certain Mr Nick Gregg, Managing Director of Local Government.

Guess what, no response, no acknowledgement, nothing! which, based on their track record, was I feel, only to be expected!

So, if like me, feel you fed up with the totally inadequate service we are receiving from this out sourced supplier, (selected by the council), and you like hitting your head against a brick wall, I suggest you write to the following Mr Nick Gregg, Managing Director, Local Government, Amey plc, The Sherard Building, Edmund Halley Road, Oxford, OX4 4DQ

And when you do remember to remind them about one of their so called values that they are so keen to espouse: Service so good our customers become and stay loyal Amey fans.

I think you know my answer to that one!

Brian Stevens, Ross
