THE second annual Village of Linton Trust (VoLT) Get-Together was held on Sunday, August 7th at The Alma Inn, Linton, near Ross-on-Wye, with the kind permission of the owners, Dan and Gemma Evans.

The theme this year was ‘Antiques at The Alma’ with Ms Lin Forward and Mrs Anne Bailey valuing items brought along by patrons. Items included both ceramic and silver tankards, a Roman fourth century glass dish, a pair of Georg Roth silver boxes, as well as various other pieces treasured by VoLT members.

Attendees enjoyed a warm pork sandwich or a vegetarian/vegan option, with a salad bar and desserts.

A raffle organised by Ms Forward and Mrs Bailey raised over £120. VoLT has been in existence since March 2015 and has, to date, raised almost £6000, thanks to the valued support of the members, people of Linton and the work of the trustees at fundraising events.

The local telephone kiosk has been bought by VoLT and, after refurbishment will house a defibrillator.
