Local residents have appealed for help to clear the snow and ice from the path and roads at Ross Community Hosptial car park.

The conditions are treacherous and concerns have been raised over the ice that is forming on the road, and with forecasts of sub-zero temperatures tonight they are keen to clear as much as possible. Currently three residents are attempting to clear what they can from the paths, but they need help with the roads to enable the ambulances to drive in safely.

They are asking people to come along with shovels and buckets if possible to help.

The Gazette has contacted the Wye Valley NHS Trust for a statement.
