Ross Tennis Centre's Mens 'B' Team had an encouraging 4 - 0 win over Boughton Park, Worcester on Sunday.

Having had matches postponed due to the weather, the team were raring to play. Competing against the opposition's first pair, Dan Thomas and youngster Lawrence Minton played some aggressive doubles and secured a straight sets victory against an extremely experienced couple, 7 - 5, 6 - 3, while Tim Barnard and Richard Jones emphatically beat Boughton's second pair 6 - 1, 6 - 1.

At the change over, Tim and Richard got off to a slow start and lost the first set 6 - 2. The second set was extremely tight but the Ross pairing took it 7 - 5. This seemed to sap the strength from the opposition, the third set was won comfortably 6-1 by Ross.

Dan and Lawrence meanwhile maintained their aggressive form and saw off their opponents, 6 - 1, 6 - 1. Therefore a 4 - 0 score was achieved which meant Ross took the maximum 5 points.

This coming Sunday both the 'A' Teams will be in action at the Centre, the men entertain Stourbridge, while the Ladies will play Manor Park, Malvern. Both matches start at 10.30am.
