RESIDENTS at Brighterkinds Ross Court Residential Home have been able to discover for themselves the therapeutic benefits of both Tai Chi and gardening. Mrs Auty and her staff continually strive to provide a full and varied range of beneficial activities.

Marigold Farmer, a Tai Chi Trainer, recently visited and provided an introductory session, encouraging relaxation and breathing.

Tim Shelley and Geoff Blake from the Ross Community Garden are always keen for residents to benefit both physically and mentally from their workshops. Thanks to the generosity of the Ross Garden Store providing a selection of seeds, Geoff and Jameson encouraged residents to stimulate their senses with a selection of scented herbs and flowers. As they planted seeds to produce home grown vegetables they were also able to reminisce about wild flowers found in the hedgerows.

Everyone spoke of their enjoyment at each of the sessions, in particular being given the opportunity to fully participate both physically and mentally. Mrs Auty is very grateful to everyone involved for their support and generosity.
