Goodrich 2nd XI carried the flag to Ledbury CC to take on the side placed fourth in Division 2 of the GB Liners Marches league. The game between Goodrich 1st XI and Bartestree CC at the Avenue was cancelled.

A grey and overcast setting greeted them, and upon winning the toss skipper Mark Evans opted to unleash his bowlers on to the Ledbury batting order.

In the absence of Joe Griffiths, youngster Norman Dunford stepped up to share the new ball with seasoned pro, Neil Price, and the two immediately caused problems for the Ledbury batsmen. Price bowled excellently, returning figures of 2 for 15 from his twelve overs.
