Madam, May I take this opportunity to send a huge thank you out to everyone who supported, helped, offered and contributed towards the last six months of Jubilee community celebrations in Kings Caple.

We ran monthly events including beetle drives, talks, bunting workshops – not to mention the quiz, a 1950s evening, a curry night and an art exhibition; not bad for such a small place. We held a Jubilee Street Party on June 3rd, attended by over 200 people, followed by a hog roast evening with music, again attended by over 200 people. Ladies contributed towards a village Jubilee cake and in an effort to swell our numbers, 40 'royal' scarecrows appeared in front gardens during the Jubilee weekend too.

So, thank you again to all who helped and all who enjoyed the Jubilee in Kings Caple.
