With 63% of students gaining A*- B grades, 87% at A*-C and a 100% pass rate at A Level, John Kyrle students, parents, staff and governors have much to celebrate.
Nigel Griffiths, Headteacher, said: "In addition to these exceptional academic achievements, students have involved themselves in all aspects of school life. They have participated in Music, Drama, Sport and fund-raising as well as being subject ambassadors working with younger students in Maths, Modern Foreign Languages and Literacy". He was also full of praise for his staff for their continued dedication.
Head of Sixth Form, Rob Wallace, is delighted that these record results enabled students to pursue a range of courses at Universities and Colleges across the UK. He said that amongst very many excellent overall performances, Head Girl, Becky Ralphs (2 A*s, A) will study Veterinary Science at Nottingham; John Burden (2 A*s, A) will read Computer Science at Oxford and Sam Trueman (4 A*s) will read Engineering at Cambridge.
