MADAM, I was gob smacked to read the comments in this week's Ross Gazette, sent in by Mr Richard Pope, opposing the change of use to the Vine Tree Public House.

I go into the pub most days of the week, and have done so for many years. Mr Pope has not been inside the pub for over four years, yet he has the nerve to oppose the Landlord applying for change of use, to be able to sell the property.

The fact of the matter is that Terry and Wendy the landlord and land lady, do not want to sell the pub, however due to a large fall in sales, they have for over two years been subsidising their own savings to keep the pub running.

Nobody wants to see another pub close, so to Mr Pope and a lot more residents around the area the answer is very simple, Use it or Loose It.
