The Ross Gazette appeal for our Charity of the Year has got off to a great start thanks to a generous donation from the owner of the newspaper, Sir Ray Tindle.

General manager of the Ross Gazette attended the regular Friday Lunch Club, which meets at the Ross-on-Wye Conservative Club, to hand over the cheque to Rosemary Rigby of the Ross Action Group.

Sir Ray Tindle told the Gazette: “We are delighted to hear that the Ross Gazette has chosen to support the Ross Action Group in their efforts to replace their community bus and wish the appeal every success.

Fundraising will begin in earnest in January 2017, the Gazette’s 150th year.
