James Weatherhead from Ross-on-Wye took part in the Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday, October 2nd, to raise funds for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal, Herefordshire Branch.

57-year old James completed the race in two hours, three minutes and 21 seconds. Overall, he came in at 5,810th place, out of 16,901 competitors.

James told the Ross Gazette:?“Thank you to all who supported me, the Royal British Legion, and the Royal Hotel.”

He added that he thought Cardiff was a wonderful city, and he thoroughly enjoyed the busy atmosphere, as there were other events on that weekend, including BAFTA?Cymru.
