Although cost cutting measures dominated reports on the Spending Review last week many people in Ross felt the announcement that South Herefordshire would be a pilot area for the new superfast broadband was really good news for the town.

Many local business people have felt that they are at a disadvantage because the current broadband provision is inadequate.

Valerie Coker who runs Wyenet, one of the longest established independent service providers, told the Ross Gazette that it was really good news for Ross.

She added:?"I would say that the efforts put in by our new MP Jesse Norman must have contributed to this decision."
