A water pipe burst on Broad Street in Ross-on-Wye on the evening of Thursday, December 13th. This meant that a road closure had to be put in place which lasted until the morning of Friday, December 14th, where drivers were being diverted back up the one-way street.
A Welsh Water spokesperson said: “We became aware of a leak on a part of a water pipe in Ross-on-Wye late last night, and immediately sent a repair team to deal with the leak.
“Teams worked through the night to complete the repair.
“Due to the location and nature of the leak, our team needed emergency access to the road and traffic restrictions were put in place to ensure they were able to carry out the work safely, and we were able to reopen the road by 9am this morning.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank customers for their patience.”
