ROSS Police have had another busy week on the front line reacting to the recent spate of drink related disorder and assaults and low level crime in the town with positive arrests and action. Some of the incidents local police officers and CSOs have dealt with include:

A suspected assualt led to the arrest of a 25-year-old local man following an incident in Broad Street, Ross at around 01.50hrs on October 17th. He has been bailed pending further enquries.

A CSO was assaulted on October 16th. A local 25-year-old man was arrested following an incident when a community support officer attended a report of disorder in Hill Street, Ross which had been reported to her over the retail radio. The CSO was struck across the face by the man, who then ran off.

He was later detained by police officers but resisted arrest and spat at an officer. He has been charged with assaulting an officer and charged with assaulting an accredited person (CSO) and will appear before Hereford Magistrates on October 27th.
