The Royal Dean Forest Cycling Club's Cannop 'One Circuit' took place on Tuesday, April 28th.
The Cannop lap starts at Boys Grave heads to Speech House then plummets down to the Pygmy Pinetum Crossroads before speeding down the Cannop Valley to Parkend where it then grinds up the hill to the Barracks before turning back to Boys Grave - 1 lap = 6 miles.
The roads wet and riders chilled times were higher than last year. The average time in 2008 was 17:27, this year it was 20:01.
Of the five riders who also rode last year, Dale Reed improved his time recording a personal best. For Shaun Carter, aged 10 of Brierley, riding his first Time Trial the experience must only get better.
Riding a RDFCC TT for the first time was new boy Alan Crowley who rode an excellent time not knowing the course but the conditions he shrugged off as 'normal' having been used to conditions on the Isle of Man for the last 20 years.
Ride of the night went to the gritty Emily Ravenhill who lives close to the Cannop course. Emily beat rival Josie Evans by over a minute and is in serious training on the bike.
