Madam, I am writing on behalf of everybody at Sue Ryder Care to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported me, Carolyn Hayhurst, and Linda Botsman in our recent canoe challenge and helped raise vital funds to support our health and social care services.
On September 3rd Linda and I paddled 14 miles from Ross to Symonds Yat. Thanks to the generosity of our friends we have raised over £250 which will go directly to help Sue Ryder Care provide quality care for people living with end of life and long-term conditions including; Cancer, Stroke, Brain Injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Dementia, Huntington's Disease, Parkinson's Disease and Motor Neurone Disease.
I'd also like to encourage local people to Ride for Ryder and make a journey this summer in aid of Sue Ryder Care. Activities can be as unique, personal or physically challenging as people like, from taking the bus to work for a week rather than driving (and donating unused petrol money to Sue Ryder Care) to taking on a sponsored bike ride or putting on a skateboarding event and charging an entrance fee.
