The Ross-on-Wye Tourism Association, in collaboration with St Mary’s Church, is organising a community-based birthday party in and around St Mary’s church to celebrate John Kyrle’s 380th birthday on Sunday, 21st May 2017. His actual birthday is May 22nd.

The group is planning a whole host of entertainment that includes celebrating John Kyrle’s life with walks, talks, poetry, games, 17th century music and a 17th century evensong in the church at 6.30pm.

They are hoping to inspire local people to dress up in 17th century dress and more information about costumes for people of all ages will be available soon on the group’s Facebook page.
