Members and visitors at the Ross Community Garden had a day of sunshine as they celebrated Dave Robertson’s birthday on Friday, November 2nd.

Dave spends one day a week at the Community Garden where he enjoys planting and growing flowers and vegetables.

Dawn Smith, who works at the Community Garden, baked a chocolate cake for him, and it was enjoyed by members of the Community Garden and the visitors that day.

Everybody gathered inside the Garden’s cabin and sang happy birthday round the table. Locally bought cakes and fresh hot drinks were enjoyed by all, including Jesse Norman MP, who commented on how lovely Dawn’s homemade chocolate cake was.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
