At the Dean Heritage Centre this Easter they are celebrating Spring in the Forest. It is a beautiful time of year with trees and plants bursting into life after the long Winter months and the Forest is busy with woodland birds and creatures preparing for new life.

Their facilitators will be here to help visitors create something to take home with them including animal homes, seed bombs and bird feeders.

There will also be artist led workshops and opportunities to have a guided walk in the surrounding woodlands. Please go to their website or call the Centre to find out the days and timings of all the activities.

On Easter Saturday and Sunday their resident artists will be there to help young visitors create magnificent Easter bonnets and crowns and there will be a special Easter trail with chocolate prizes and Spring themed craft in the Craft Hut.

Looking forward, they will be holding their annual Fire & Wood Festival at the end of May. They are re-naming it Fire, Wood & Heritage so they can celebrate the skills of local heritage crafts people.

If you practise a heritage craft and would like to join, please get in touch with them.

If you want further details on any of the events please check their website www.deaneritagecentre.com or give them a call 01594 822170.
