A man is due to appear at Hereford Magistrate's Court today, Thursday, October 31st, charged with a number of offences against women, which are believed to have taken place at Fownhope health club, Wye Leisure.
Mark Morrison, of Martins Close, Woolhope, is due before the city's magistrates' court charged with five counts of sexual assault, 25 counts of voyeurism and one count of perverting the course of justice.
The 43-year-old was originally arrested in August, following a number of complaints from women who attended Wye Leisure for treatment, where Morrison worked as a chiropractor. He no longer works at the club, and the management and staff have fully assisted police with their inquiries into this investigation.
The charge of perverting the course of justice relates to telephone calls made to serving police officers following Morrison's arrest.
Detective Sergeant Tim Powell from Hereford police station said: "We understand how concerning this news will be to those who have used Wye Leisure."However, the sexual assault and voyeurism charges relate solely to offences which are alleged to have taken place in a treatment room where he worked as a chiropractor.
"As part of our inquiries, we have already spoken to a number of women who were clients of Morrison. I would urge anyone else who we have not yet spoken to - but feels they may have information relating to our investigation - to call Hereford CID on 101 as soon as possible."
