MADAM, YOUR readers may be

aware that there is to be a meeting on

Wednesday, March 4th, 2pm, at Ross

Library about Climate Change and what

action we can take to reduce the damage

we are doing to the planet and our own

pockets by the wasteful use of energy.

This looks set to be a useful and informative

event and I would urge your readers

to attend.

The Amenities Committee of Ross

Town Council has been giving this issue

much thought in relation to the Christmas

lights in the Town. We believe that

with new technologies, a sense of

adventure and some community creativity,

it should be possible to celebrate

Christmas 2009 with lights that are

beautiful, innovative, energy efficient

and carbon neutral.

But we need the support of householders,

businesses and other groups in the

Town to make this happen. I would

like to invite those interested to join a

short meeting immediately after the earlier

one on March 4th (3.45pm) at the

Library to discuss possibilities. Or
