Herefordshire Council have announced that there will be no collections on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day this year.

Christmas Day collections will be on Sunday 27th December.

New Year’s Day collections will be on Saturday 2nd January.

All other collection days will remain the same. Herefordshire Council are asking everyone to put their bins out before 6.30am on your collection day throughout the festive period.

Household recycling centres will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day but open as normal on days between Boxing Day and New Years.

Herefordshire Council told the Ross Gazette "Residents can deposit their own household waste and recycling at these centres. But please be aware that a van and trailer permit scheme is in operation."
