The Ross-on-Wye Community Development Trust (Ross CDT) is holding its second Facebook Live event of the year next Tuesday, March 9 at 6pm with Dr Simon Lennane, Dr Edwina Gallagher and Jane Roberts, Chair of the Ross CDT.
The virtual events, designed to connect more effectively with the community and to address local issues, will be discussing the continuing roll out of the Covid-19 vaccine, early cancer diagnosis and an update on developments from the Ross CDT, including the AGM and its membership offer. If you have any questions for the panel, you can send them via email in advance to [email protected] or you can post them live during the event on Facebook.
The charity’s first event of the year - Staying Healthy in 2021 - took place on 4 February and focused on how local organisations can help to keep us more resilient during the pandemic by supporting each other and those more vulnerable in our community. The panel, moderated by Dr Lennane, included guest speakers Paul Flitney from Ross Sports Centre, Clarissa Hill from the Horizon Centre and Ali Fletcher from Age UK.
The charity’s Facebook Live events have been gaining in popularity with over 2.5k views per event. You can catch up on previous events online by visiting Ross CDT’s Facebook page - www.facebook.com/rosscdt - and clicking on ‘Events’.
If you have any ideas or suggestions for speakers at future events, please get in touch at [email protected] – the team would love to hear from you.
