Residents continue to complain regularly about the state of the waste ground to the side of Pig’s Alley in the centre of Ross-on-Wye. This is one of the main ponts of access for people parking in the town centre centre car parks and walking into High Street.

In addition to items of furniture and lots of empty beer cans littering the area, the fence has been pushed, or blown, down.

The Ross Gazette has passed these complaints to Herefordshire Council but the council is limited in what it can do as the land is owned by a private individual.

The county council has considered taking enforcement action but this process is time-consuming and costly.
