Madam, Working together with my East Ward Colleague, Mrs Ann Gray, we have managed to get not one but three pedestrian crossings in Ross.
Using the Safer Routes to School scheme, Amey Herefordshire will be constructing, in January 2011, one adjacent to the Prince of Wales in Walford Road, which is of course much needed.
The other two will be in and around Station Street/Cantilupe Road, courtesy of monies from Morrison, connected with their planning application obligations. There will also be improvements to footpaths etc.
We are also hopeful that, working with the Basement Youth Trust, of which I am a Trustee, and the Herefordshire Council Youth Service, we will be able to provide a small community cinema at the Y-Zone in Hill Street (the screen is already installed).
