A 23-YEAR-OLD Wye Valley man who drove dangerously on the A48 at Minsterworth has been banned from the roads for a year.

Magistrates at Cheltenham have also ruled that Charlie Fox of Wyeside Caravan Park, Bishopswood, near Kerne Bridge,, cannot drive again until after passing an extended driving test.

Fox pleaded guilty on September 4 to driving a VW Golf dangerously at Minsterworth on 1st December last year.

As well as the driving ban, Fox was placed on a 12-month community order with mental health treatment and a requirement to attend up to six days of rehabilitation activities.

Fox was further fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a surcharge of £114.
