Crowds gathered on the streets of Ross-on-Wye, to watch the meet of the Ross Harriers Hunt, on Boxing Day.

The horses and hounds made a circuit of the town before riding off into the countryside.

A spokesperson for the Ross Harriers told the Ross Gazette: “We would like to thank the people of Ross, and the Council for welcoming us into the Market Place, and the landowners who continue to let us hunt legally on their land.”

The Gazette has received some complaints about the dog foul. One local man was concerned with the “unhygienicness (sic) of it all in town.” The spokesperson for the Ross Harriers said:, “We had a team of people who were going round, clearing it up.”

West Mercia Police confirmed that there were no reports of any incidents relating to the hunt.
