A cyclist was taken to Southmead Hospital, Bristol, following a collision with a tractor near St Owen’s Cross, Ross-on-Wye, on Friday, July 20th.
The A49 was closed following the collision, which happened at approximately 5pm, near to the Red Lion Inn. Emergency services attended the scene, including the Air Ambulance.
West Midlands Ambulance Service told the Ross Gazette that the cyclist, a man in his 70s, suffered suspected pelvic injuries and was treated at the scene before being taken to Southmead for further treatment.
West Mercia Police closed the road for several hours to allow for collision investigation and diversions were put in place.
The police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash which took place at about 5.10pm on the northbound carriage of the A49 near Peterstow.
Officers are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have dash cam footage of it, to get in touch to help them with their enquiries.
