I was looking forward to the concert at Ross Baptist Church on Saturday evening last, supporting the Mayor’s Charities, the Friends of Ross Community Hospital and SSAFA. It was an excellent programme, combined with humour and audience participation.

The vocals, soloist and instruments were exceptional and I feel very proud that Ross-on-Wye and district could provide such quality.

I spoke to some visitors from France who told me how much they were enjoying the evening. I would also like to express thanks to the choir and everyone involved in the evening for the very hard work that goes into producing the quality we witnessed at the concert, and of course the charities chosen by this year’s Mayor is commendable.

Thank you all for providing us with several hours of superb entertainment. I was disappointed when it was time to go.
