Dick Whittington was performed at Bishopswood Village Hall last week; the opening night was on Thursday, February 18th, and the last show was on Saturday, February 20th.

The pantomime, which was incredibly well enjoyed by all who went, and was a sell-out show, became a tribute to one very loved member of the group, who died suddenly, days before the pantomime was due to be performed.

Christine Puzey, one of the actors in the show told the Ross Gazette: “We were deeply shocked and saddened when our friend Heather Osley died suddenly during the final week of rehearsals.

“Heather has been the great inspiration throughout all of our pantomimes: chivvying, cajoling and encouraging behind the scenes while always being immensely supportive to everyone involved - we owe her a great debt of gratitude.

“Her absence is deeply felt. Our thoughts and prayers are with her grieving family. It was their wish that we should continue with the pantomime, as Heather would have wanted us to. We therefore dedicate the performances to her memory, and in appreciation of all that she gave to us.”
