Madam, While we all realise the political leanings of this newspaper, I find it rather galling that you did not press Sarah Carr for an explanation of her repeated illiberal slights of the Conservative candidate until it was too late to make any difference to the election results. Fortunately the electorate saw through her subterfuge and the truth won out.
Further last week in her letter, even more sour grapes, when she did not even have the decency to use the name of her victor, Jesse Norman. This would not have happened with her predecessor Paul Keetch who was a thoroughly decent and honourable man.
Now we have to suffer the totally pointless remarks in a letter about Ross seemingly voting Liberal. Just how gullible do these liberals think we the voters of this town are?
Following on from that, why oh why are we having a town council election next week, why could these supposedly intelligent people we elect, not come to the agreement I thought I read about in this newspaper, where Mrs Lucas would be co-opted to the council, saving us the council tax payers a considerable sum for a pointless election.
