Madam, Where does Councillor Harry Bramer get his information from that the public wants twinning organisations in Ross to go? As members of Ross-Condé Twinning Association for 27 years and previous committee members, we would strongly disagree with his views and as members of the public we have not been asked if we wish these organisations to be stopped.

The Ross-Condé Twinning Association is stronger now than it has ever been (the largest and longest running in Herefordshire) and brings pleasure and friendship to many members of the public residing in Ross. These are the people who will be hosts to over 100 French visitors to our town in April.

Ross has many more pressing problems to consider before attempting to end very successful associations that are self-funded.

Richard and Sandra Oakley, Ross
