Madam, On behalf of the Ross-and-District Civic Society I invite you and your readers to our next meeting on Wednesday, September 10th at 7pm for 7.30pm at the Larruperz Centre, when the Staffordshire County Archaeologist, Stephen Dean, will be talking about the Staffordshire Hoard. It promises to be a fascinating talk about the fabulous collection of Anglo-Saxon gold and silverwork found only five years ago near Lichfield. This lecture is the start of the Civic Society's winter programme. Visitors as well as well as members welcome. Wine and drinks will be available from 7 o'clock.
