Madam, We are volunteers with the R.V.S. We run a Lunch Club for Senior Citizens every Friday at the Ryefield Centre. Just this week we were told that we have to leave the centre by 11th April 2014.

As you can imagine our members were very upset when we told them the news. For some of them this is the only time they time get to enjoy a lovely meal and meeting up for a chat! We are all a very happy crowd!. To lose this facility is very sad. If, as Councillor Bartrum has said the Ryefield Centre is NOT closing, Why can't we stay, we have all the facilities our members need. It is just for a couple of hours on a Friday once a week!

It is going to be hard to find suitable premises in the time that we have left. (THREE WEEKS)!!!
